Terms and conditions
DEPOSIT FOR THE CONFIRMATION OF YOUR RESERVATION
A booking is guaranteed by payment of a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the stay. The deposit can be sent as follows:

- directly by credit card on our website - online advance payment
With the payment of the holding deposit, the general terms and conditions, and in particular, the terms of cancellation are considered to be understood and legally wholly accepted.
CANCELLATIONS DURING COVID-19 TIMES
For the summer season 2021 we have determined special conditions that are much tolerant to a COVID case.
for reservations from June 12th, 2021 until September 19th, 2021
If the Guest is unable to undertake or has to interrupt the trip, because:
- the Guest has been found to have an elevated temperature measured (minimum temperature: 37,5°C), even if a later test result is negative;
- the Guest was tested positive for COVID-19 without or with showing symptoms;
- a close relative or a person living in the same household has contracted COVID-19 and the urgent presence of the Guest is required;
- a close relative in the shared household has contracted COVID-19 and the Guest must therefore be quarantined;
the following special conditions COVID 2020/21 will be adopted, in the presence of a certification proving the impossibility of travel:
- for reservations cancelled up to 21 days prior to the date of arrival, nothing will be charged and the deposit will be returned,
- for cancellations from 20 to 10 days prior to arrival, the deposit is fully retained as a voucher for a future stay, to be used by the summer season 2022,
- from 9 days before the arrival date we will keep the deposit as a cancellation fee.
In case of cancellations received at any time from the booking date due to force majeure officially proven by Italian government / state decrees, decrees of the autonomous province South Tyrol or from the Country / Region of origin of the Guest - such as health restrictions related to the COVID-19 emergency, lockdown in the origin place of the Guest or in South Tyrol, closure of the regions or of the borders - a full refund of the deposit paid will be guaranteed or the possibility of converting the total or partial amount into a voucher for a future stay by the end of the summer season 2022.
Should Alta Badia face the forced shutdown of the ski lifts or the mandatory closure of the accommodation facilities (as happened in March 2020), the deposit will be kept valid as a voucher for a future stay, to be used by the summer season 2022.
Our standard conditions (see below) will be calculated in any other case other than those indicated above.
However, there is no application of the special conditions if the Guest cannot or do not want to start the travel because he is a risk patient or - even as a risk patient – he is worried about infection due to the increasing number of cases at the holiday destination. The situations applicable to the special conditions COVID 2020/21 do not include the obligation of quarantine upon return to one's country.
It is expressly stated that the application of the relevant conditions can only be assessed on the basis of the specific time in which the cancelation occurred. Therefore, it is decisive what, for example, the specific circumstances of "freedom to travel" and any new waves of the disease are at the time when the claim occurs and which official regulations apply.
For the winter season 2021/22 we have not yet developed any special conditions, as we have to evaluate the development of the situation gradually. We will take care to update our conditions if necessary.
OUR STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY
There is no right of withdrawal in the sense of the Italian consumer protection code - nevertheless we grant you the following cancellation conditions:
For reservations cancelled up to 31 days prior to the date of arrival, nothing will be charged.
For cancellations from 30 to 11 days prior to arrival, we will keep the deposit as cancellation fee, while 80% of the booked arrangement will be charged for cancellations from 10 days prior to arrival.
In case of late arrival or early departure, 100% of the total reservation price will be charged.
These conditions are independent of whether the cancelled rooms will be completely or partially resold again. In order to avoid cancellation fees, we suggest to take out travel insurance Hotel Cancellation Plus.
Communication according to Part III, Title III, Section I, of the Italian Consumer Protection Code (GvD 206/2005).
TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE HOTEL CANCELLATION PLUS: We recommend to subscribe the coverage “Hotel Cancellation Plus”, which covers all expenses in case of cancellation of the reservation before the vacation period. The insurance must be signed at the same time as the journey is booked.
LATE CHECK-OUT ROOM AND WELLNESS: Before checking out you can enjoy some more hours exploring our beautiful mountains and relax in our wellness centre. Depending on our availability and on request we can extend your stay on your departing day until 4.00 p.m. at an additional charge:
Late check-out room and wellness: € 50.00 per room
LATE CHECK-OUT WELLNESS ONLY: For our SPA-lovers we dedicate some more hours for relax and recharge the energies, with the possibility to book the:
Late check-out wellness only: € 30,00 per room for the use of our wellness center until 7.00 p.m.
We kindly ask you to book your “LATE CHECK OUT” at the front desk.
EXTERNAL GUESTS: Our swimming pools and our saunas are reserved exclusively for our house Guests. Therefore, access is not allowed to people who are not living in our Romantik Hotel Cappella. The massages and beauty treatments shown on our beauty brochure are also available to external guests, which are not staying in our Hotel.
SPA & BEAUTY: For organizational reasons and to ensure maximum efficiency, we kindly ask our guests to advise the spa staff for cancellation at least 24 hours before the appointment, after which treatments will be charged to account.
MEALS NOT TAKEN: € 15.00 per person per day will be deducted for meals which are not taken (inform us in the morning).
ROOM SERVICE: For this service we require € 5.00.
VALUABLES: We cannot accept responsibility for the loss of clients’ valuables. In each room you will find a safe, which can be locked with personal code.
ANIMALS: We are sorry but for allergy-reasons pets are not allowed anymore from winter 2019-20. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
DRESS: For dinner, especially for the aperitives and candlelight dinner we have twice a week, we invite our dear Guests to appear in the dining room in an appropriate dress.
PARKING AREA AND GARAGE: The Hotel offers a large underground multi-storey car park with capacity for all the cars of our Guests and staff, equipped with a lift for reaching the Hotel and four charging stations for electric vehicles.
PAYMENT OF THE BILL AND PAYMENT METHODS: Your account can be settled between 7.30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. We accept cash (up to 1.999,99 €), Visa, Euro/MasterCard and traveller’s cheques.
